About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Sydney to Tokyo via Beijing

I have a Australian passport thinking to flying from Sydney to Tokyo via Beijing and staying 3 days at Beijing and 7 days Tokyo.
(Sydney-Beijing-Tokyo) direct flight .
am I eligible to take 144-hour free transit Beijing?
one more question :- do i have to tell you returned flight as well is that any impact for getting 144-free transit ?
