About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flying from Manila to Shanghai

I have a US passport but flying from Manila airport to Shanghai and staying there for 3 days, am I eligible to take the Rule 144-hour free china visa?

You can if you are in transit to a third country. You need a visa if you are returning to the Philippines immediately.
