visit visa for hong kong..

Question

I am planning to attend a conference in Hong Kong on 4th December 2018. This is my first visit to Hong Kong. But my wife is studying in Hong Kong as a PhD student currently.  How much of time it will take for me to have  the visa after applying? As my wife currently living in Hong Kong, is there any possibility for me to have the entry permit after 4 days?

If you make the application from the China embassy and the embassy will issue your visa, it would be possible to get the result after four working days. You can have a try.
