Visa needed for Staying in airport during travel NL-Shanghai-Sydney

I am flying to Australia from the Netherlands, and I have to change flights at a Chinese airport (Shanghai, and/or Bejijng, and/or Kunming, depending on the flight I will book. The waiting time at the airport in all cases is less than 24hours). Do I need a visa (/TWOV)?

You need to make sure you are schedule to depart china within 24 hours from first scheduled landing in China. If you only land only once then you can take advantage of 72/144 hour transit without visa.
