About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Arriving Shanghai by air, leaving by cruise ship

How far ahead of our cruise can we arrive in Shanghai without having to apply for a Visa? Are the hours in transit count until we board the ship, or until the ship leaves Shanghai?

It's scheduled arrival time and scheduled departure time that count.
