About:China Visa

London - shanghai - Tokyo then reverse

Hi,
I fly to shanghai and stay for 2 days before flying from shanghai to Tokyo. I stay in Tokyo 5 days then fly back to shanghai and leave shanghai for London 1 day later. As each visit to shanghai is less than 72 hours do I need a visa or can I apply for the 72 hour free transit both times I enter shanghai?

You are eligible for the free transit in Shanghai in both ways. No visa will be needed then.
