Unfortunately, your itinerary is not eligible for any kind of visa free transit scheme because this is a round trip or a visit to China. You simply don't have a third country within your itinerary and you are also not allowed to have two or more stops in a row within mainland China to remain eligible for 144 hours visa free transit. You will have to apply and obtain a Chinese tourist (L) visa in advance.
