Cruise ship stops in Shanghai for 2 days

Our cruise ship will be stopping in Shanghai - do we need a visa to go ashore whilst we are docked there?

If you are traveling Country A - Shanghai (144 hours) - Country B, you are eligible for the 144h twov in Shanghai. No visa will be needed.
