About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

HAN - SZX (layover only) - PEK - DTW

If I will be transiting through Shenzhen but only to connect to another flight to Beijing, do I then just apply for the 144 hour twov in Beijing? I wil not be leaving the airport in Shenzhen. Will I qualify for a visa in Beijing with this itinerary?

You don't qualify for 144 hours transit without visa. Two stops in China immediately limits you to 24 hours in China unless you have a visa.
