Is the 144 hour Visa in Beijing good more than once?

I’m flying from USA to PEK Oct 1 (arriving 2nd). I want to stay in PEK 5/6 nights for tourist activities. I will buy a ticket to Thailand prior to leaving USA ensuring I have a international departure ticket leaving PEK within the 144 hours Visa window. Here is my question regarding using the 144 Visa twice.

I have a return flight from PEK to USA on November 27. I’m planning on doing the exact same thing. I want to fly into PEK 4 or 5 days before I return to the USA. Can I assume the process will be exactly the same? Will it make any difference that I used the 144 hour Visa 7 weeks before? Can not wait for my visit to PEK. So much to see.
