About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

We fly into Chengdu for three nights, then fly to Hong Kong for six nights and into Beijing for one

We fly into Chengdu for 3 nights, onto Hong Kong for six nights then into Beijing for one night.

Do we need a visa at all? Can we apply for 72 hour twov initially and then 144 hour twov?

Or we can at least use only a single entry visa instead of double entry?

If your trip would be Australia-Chengdu(within 72 hours)-HK-Beijing-another country or region instead of HK, you can apply for the 72h twov in Chengdu and 144h twov in Shanghai. Nice trip.
