About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Amsterdam > Chengdu > Guangzhou > Cairns

Hello, I’m flying from Amsterdam to Australia with 2 transfers in China (Chengdu and Guangzhou). On these transfers I’ll have a 3 hour layover on the airport. Will I be able to use the 72h free transit?

Two stops limits you to 24 hours transit without visa.

Is that a visa that you need to apply for in advance or on the airport in China? I’ve also read that with this visa it’s not allowed to have 2 transfer flights in China?

You would be using the 24 hour direct transit which is different than the 72/144 hour transit without visa.
