About:Chinese Consulate in Brisbane

I am flying with China Southern Airlines from Cairns to Bangkok.

I am transit in Guangzhou Baiyun Intl airport for 4 hours and 55 minutes. Do I need a visa for this.

Hi, you don’t need it because you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Guangzhou if you don't leave the airport during the layover time. Nice trip!
