About:China Visa on Arrival

Cruise visit

We are visiting Shanghai for two nights by cruise ship,before travelling to Japan onthe same ship.We willnot be travelling outside Shanghai.Do we need a visa? Some say yes,others no.I am confused.

If your last country before entering Shanghai is not Japan, and the layover time in Shanghai is within 6 days, you don't need to apply for visa for that as you can use 144h twov in there.
