Beijing to Tianjin transfer on October 7th 2018

Hello,

My husband and I need to get from Beijing to Tianjin International Cruise Port. Since it's the week of the National Holiday we are concerned about the train stations being too crowded, as well as the roads having too much traffic.
Which would be the safest way to travel on that day, Sunday October 7th? And what kind of delays should we expect?

Thank you in advance.

Indeed, as Oct 7th is the final day of the holiday, it would be the rush time for return. But still, rail service is safest way. The station, for sure, would be very crowded. So you need to prepare more extra time for it and be ready for long queue. If you will have a chance, it would be better to collect the paper ticket out in hands in advance, instead of on the day of travel.

To the Cruise Port, as I know, people usually use Yujiapu, Tanggu or Binhai station. It would be better if you also prepare more time for taxi trip from any of these stations to the port.
