About:Guangzhou Travel

I have an Australian passport.I have 16 hours layover in Guangzhou.

Do i qualify for 72 hours or 24 hours transit visa? Do i need to book an accommodation to get the visa? Since i arrive at 5.30 am and my next flight is at 9.30 pm; i just want to explore the city.

Thank You

If your route is Country A – Guangzhou – Country B, then you can apply for a 24h stay permit upon arrival. Then, you can leave to explore the city. No need to book a room.
