About:Yangtze River

Is English spoken on Chinese tourist boats for the Yangtze River and how do you book one?

I am planning a trip to China for September 2020. I want to take a Yangtze river cruise from Chongqing to Yichang. But instead of taking one of the Western-style luxury cruise ships (like Victoria, Viking, etc) I was thinking about taking one of the Chinese tourist boats. I hear they are smaller and cheaper, but are also crowded, dirty, and no one speaks English. Are there English speaking guides on these boats? Also, if I want to book one of these boats, how do I book one? All the websites I find are for the big cruise ships. Some of the hostels I want to stay at offer Yangtze cruise booking services, but I'm afraid the cruises might be fully booked if I wait to book through a hostel, especially in September. Any advice would be appreciated.

I’m afraid the Chinese tourist boats don’t provide English guides, and you can book it from the official website or call 400-1858-023 for detailed information.
By the way, I saw this page lists some tours including the cruise, maybe you can also consult them.
