I’d also like to know the answer to this question please!

My question differs slightly, in the fact that my first arrival (from SYD by air) arrives on 5th Sep and my cruise departs on 6th Sep (for 2 Japanese ports). I arrive back into Tianjin on 11th Sep, so my 144 hours would still be running. Can I obtain another 144 Hour Transit visa for my 3 night stay from 11th - 14th September (and then depart by air back to SYD). M

My trip would then be SYD-PEK-JAPAN (A-B-C) and JAPAN-Tianjin-SYD (A-B-C)

Thank you!!

The 144 hours resets every time you enter China. Country A-China-Country B-China-Country A is fine for 72/144 hours transit without visa twice (assuming your passport is from one of the 53 qualifying countries).

Flyboy75 this is allowed assuming you leave the boat in Japan. Clock starts on arrival in Beijing then stops when the boat leaves for Japan. So the time cruising to Japan is not part of the 144 hours. You get a new 144 hours when your boat arrives back in Tianjin.
