About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Washington DC to Thailand but transitioning in Beijing for 12 hours

Hello I am going from Washington DC to Thailand but our transition is in China for 12hours on one side and 5 hours on another side. So do we have to get a visa?

If you have a qualifying passport with 3 months validity then you won't need a visa.
