About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Germany - Shanghai - Australia

I am a German citizen and resident travelling from Germany to Australia with a stop in Shanghai. I land in Shanghai at approx 15:00pm on a Saturday and leave to fly to Australia at 22:00pm the following Tuesday - can I use the 72 hour twov? If the 00:00 time the following day after landing rule applies then I figure it should just work?!

Beijing now allows 144 hours transit without visa, so you should have no problem.
