cancelling a work permit

If an employer in China applies for a work permit for an employee, can they cancel it on the request of the employee if they have a better job offer.If it is possible then how can it be done.

As I know, they can help you cancel the work permit. You can ask them to cancel it for you. If it can be done, try to apply for a new work Z type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB after your new employer can get the FEC for you.
