About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Cancelling existing student visa and applying for a new visa type

Hi,
I have finished with my studies in china and my current student visa is expiring in 20 days. Now I am back to my native country. My father is currently working in china and I want to visit him on an S1 visa. Do I need to wait until the expiry of my current student visa to apply for a new chinese s1visa from my country or can i apply now before the expiry ? Your reply is much appreciated. Please help

Abhi, before your leave the country, did you cancel your residence permit? If yes, you don't need to wait and you can apply for an S1 now.
