can i work under q1 visa?

I have a Q1 valid for two years till august 2020, can I work under Q1? Also is it possible to change into Z?What would happen if i work with Q1?

You cannot work in mainland China legally under Q1. It's possible to change it into Z type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. You can have a try. You are not advised to work with Q1 type. If get caught, your visa would be cancelled.
