About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Document required

Do you have to have printed boarding pass to apply at the airport? Would they except paper booking confirmation from the airline with seats allocated?

I am booked two separate airline that might not print out two boarding passes to check in.

To apply for free transit at the airport, you need to print your confirmed Shanghai-Sydney ticket and show it at check-in/boarding in TPE, and tell them you will be in "transit without visa". You will also need to show your ticket and passport on arrival in Shanghai.

Just make sure the printed confirmation has the airline ticket number and you are fine.
