About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hello, 72 or 144 Free Visa

We are Canadians and fly from Toronto through Seoul (change planes) and then to Bangkok next Feb. We stay in Bangkok for 12 days then fly to Beijing for 3 days then back to Toronto through Taipei (change planes). Because we are coming in from Bangkok are we only allowed the 72hr?

Bangkok > Beijing > Taipei portion of the trip is eligible for the 144 (formerly 72) Hour Transit without visa. Taiwan is considered a separate country when it comes to this process.
