Cruise going to Shanghai for a day

I am a Canadian citizen who is on a cruise that stops off in Shanghai for one day in November 2018. Can you please inform me of the best way to acquire a 24 hour twov so that I can see the city on my own? Thanks in advance for your help.

In Shanghai, leaving the airport is no longer possible if your layover is less than 24 hours regardless of nationality. But some reported that bringing a hotel reservation will help. If your trip qualifies for the free transit in Shanghai, you could try to leave the airport by showing hotel reservations.
