About:China Visa Exemption

US to Shenzhen and Xiamen, then to Japan and back through Xiamen

Thanks in advance for your help!
I'm traveling from Seattle to Shenzhen one night there, and one night in Xiamen then on to Japan. Will I need to stay in the airport for either of those China locations? I'm on Xiamen airlines and am booked through to Japan.

You won’t need to stay in the airport, because you will need to have a Chinese visa.
