british passport holder requires chinese visa

Hi,My brother is heading to Austria with a British passport and afterwards is heading straight to China and cannot make it back to Britain. Can he apply in Austria for his visa for China? If so besides the standard documents does he need anything else?TIA

It's possible for him to make the application from the China embassy in Austria. If applying for tourist L type, he should prepare  passport and copy of its data page, the application form, a passport-style photo, valid visa or residence permit in there, round trip air tickets and hotel reservation.
