About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Japan (A) - China (B) - Peru (C)

Hi, I am an Australian citizen (Australian passport holder) and I am considering visiting Japan first and the China, before flying back to Peru (where I live). I would arrive in Shanghai, then moving by train to Shandong province to visit some steel mills as part of my job. Then, I will return to Shanghai by train and from there I will fly back to Lima.

I would arrive in China on October 16 and leave On October 20

My question: am I eligible for the 144-Hour Free Transit in China?

Many thanks!!

Sorry you will need a visa for this. You cannot travel outside Shanghai, Jiangsu or Zhejiang region on a transit without visa. None of the TWOV arrival airports will allow for travel to Shandong province, not even if you did Beijing instead.
