About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Viking Cruise Transit

Hi there. We are on a Viking Cruise and will arrive in Haikou for eight hours. We shall ve arriving from Vietnam and then sailng onto Hong Kong later that day. We do not intend getting off the ship in Haikou. We are New Zealanders. Do we require entry permit? Thank you.

Martin, thank you so much. We have been going round and round in circles with this one. So many conflicting answers, but by far the majority say we do not need to apply for a visa. We won’t even step on to Chinese soil!
