About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I need a visa? Can I leave from de airport to the any hotel close?

I am travelling from Mexico and I land at Shangha¡i at 1:05 on July 28th, then have a flight to Taipei at 11:30 on July 28th. I arrive back at Shangha¡i from Taipai at 16:40 on August 4th and leave Shangha¡i at 13:35 on August 5th to Mexico. The rule of 72h work for me?

Hi, as I know, leaving the airport is no longer possible if your layover is less than 24 hours regardless of nationality. In Shanghai, the free transit will start the counting from 00:00 the day following the entry date, so you can enjoy 24h twov in there in both ways.
