Can you do Shaolin as a day trip from Zhengzhou?

I plan on heading to Shaolin from Luoyang early in the morning, and getting a train back to Beijing from ZZ that same evening. What is the latest bus (or train) I can get from Shaolin/Dengfeng to ZZ? If there are no buses, how much would a taxi cost, roughly?
