Currently in china on a 1 yr reunion residence permit. Hoping to get an work Z, wondering if I can apply for a work permit/ z without leaving the country. What do I need and where to I go to apply?

Henry, it's possible for you to change your current Chinese visa into a work Z type exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. If it can succeed, you don’t need to go back to your home country for that. Just give it a try.
