About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Multiple cities stopovers for both depature and return flights

Hi, I'm a South Korean passport holder and will be travelling from Sydney to USA. I have valid visas in both these countries.

My departure flight has two stopovers: Kunming (6hours) and Nanjing (11hours)
My flight route will be Sydney -> Kunming -> Nanjing -> LA. Does this qualify for 24 hour free transit?

My return flight also has two stopovers: Shanghai (18hours) and Beijing (18hours)
My flight route will be LA -> Shanghai -> Beijing -> Sydney. Does this qualify for 144 hours free transit? If not, how long does it normally take to obtain a Chinese entry permit?

Departure works as long as time from landing in Kunming to departure from Nanjing is under 24 hours
Return flight you will need a visa as 2 stops limits to 24 hours total like with the departure.
How long to get visa, i don't know but you need to apply in South Korea.
