About:Marco Polo Memorial Museum

Coming to China with L and changing to Z

I was offered a job in Shanghai and they told me they'd like me to come to China on an L and they will help me change the visa to a Z within 30 days. However, I've heard I shouldn't trust this. What can I do to protect myself?

Based on what I know, it's possible to change the L type into a work Z at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. If you are still worried, you can contact the local PSB to confirm that before you do that.
