About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Will a visa be required if I depart to my home country?

I am an American national and plan on going from Los Angeles to Tokyo to Beijing and then back to Los Angeles. Would I be able to enter on visa-free transit if I come from Tokyo first since it differs from the country I am departing to, even if the country I am departing to is my home country? Many thanks!

You can. It really doesn't matter as long as you are going to a different country than where you came from after leaving Mainland China.
