About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

USA - Guangzhou - HK - USA

Do I apply for the 72 hour transit if I have a plane ticket from the US to Guangzhou, train ticket from Guangzhou to HK, then return flight from HK to US?

That’s not eligible for transit without visa. You have to fly from Guangzhou.
