Hi, if you want to renew your Chinese visa, you are advised to extend it at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. If it can succeed, you don't need to go to Macau for that. Just give it a try!

Regardless of where you go you will be lectured and potentially fined by immigration. If you go to the local Exit and Entry Administration, the best thing you may get is an exit visa which does not grant re-entry to Mainland China. Also you will not be able to use visa-free transit of any kind for 5 years.
