About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Define "third country"?

We are residents of Germany and are planning the following itinerary:

Germany >> South Korea >> Beijing >> back to Germany.

Does Beijing work on the 144 h free transit in this scenario or would we have to do it backwards (Germany >> Beijing >> South Korea >> back to Germany)?

Thanks a lot!

Both the trips of Germany >> South Korea >> Beijing >> back to Germany and Germany >> Beijing >> South Korea >> back to Germany will be fine for the free transit policy. No need to worry.

Third country means the country you enter China from cannot be the next country you travel to Example South Korea >> Beijing >> South Korea would not be allowed regardless of where you are before or after South Korea.
