About:Chinese Paper-cut Museum

Layover in Xiamen for 16 hours

My friend and I are traveling from the United States to Thailand and will have a 16 hour layover in Xiamen city. We would like to leave the airport for a few hours to see the city. Do we need a visa? What is the best way to do this?

You don't need a visa for you can use 24h twov in Xiamen. You need to inform the airlines that you want to use the free transit in v when you board the plane in USA, and then apply for it upon arrival at the Xiamen airport by showing your arrival card, onward boarding pass and passport.
