About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

We are flying from Sydney to Beijing and then on to HK. How long can be stay in Beijing on transit?

Are we covered by the 72 or 144 hours free visa?

Beijing only has 24 and 144 hour transit without visa now.
