Can you travel by hi speed train from Shanghai to Zhangjiajie and how much would it cost? Thank you.

Hi, there is no direct high speed train from Shanghai to Zhangjiajie. If you want to take high speed train, you can take it from Shanghai to Changsha first with a fare of about CNY480, and then take a normal train to get to Zhangjiajie at a cost of around CNY87 for the soft seat.

By the way, I would suggest you take a flight directly from Shanghai to Zhangjiajie as it is also economical and more convenient than taking trains. The air travel takes around 2 hours.
