About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

3rd country application

I am from the U.S.
Would it be possible to apply for an L visa while in Egypt? As we have been here since January with no plans of returning to the U.S. any time soon.

Daileen, it's possible for you to apply for the tourist L type at the Chines embassy in Egypt. You can have a try.
