About:Chinese Embassy in U.K.

Hong Kong. There are 53 days between my 2 Beijing flights - is this possible on a tourist visa.

I am flying to Beijing to visit and then travelling by train to visit Hong Kong. I then fly back to Beijing before flying back to London. Would I need a double entry visa.

If your second travel route would be HK-Beijing(within 144 hours)-London, you qualify for the 144 hr free transit, and no visa is required. Just apply for a single entry tourist L type for the first layover in Beijing.
