No. Two stops in China limits you to 24 hours transit without visa.

I don't know if I made myself clear - I travel to Beijing only to change flights to Kunming. I'm not leaving Beijing airport. I'll spend 2 hours at the airport in Beijing. Does it change anything?

Even so, you still do not qualify for the 72hours free transit in Kunming.
