passport renewal in Melbourne

Hi
I have a chinese passport and I am a Australian PR. My passport is about to expire. To renewal my passport what is the process and what documents do I need?
I was told I had to also show proof I am not an australia citizen? how do I do that?

Hi, first, make an online appointment for the application.
Prepare your passport and its copy, a completed application form, and passport-style photos, your VEVO record, as well as other documents the consular officers consider necessary, and then submit the application to the consulate to apply for that.
