About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 hours free transit - they won't touch my single entry visa

Hello, we're planning to fly Berlin - Beijing (10 hours layover; changing from T3 to T2) - Ulaanbaatar , and then a week later we come back from Ulaanbaatar to Beijing in order to travel China for 2 weeks.

We are German citizens and we've got a single entry visa, which we need. However, I'm a bit worried about the transfer on our arrival day, because I realized that T3 and T2 are in two different buildings.

We are eligible for 72-hours-free-transit, but how to explain that they don't touch our entry permit, which we need a week later?

Go directly to the visa-free transit counter and explain your situation to the officer. Do not stand in the normal lanes or your visa will be used before you realize it.
