144 Hour Visa Free Transit Shanghai-Guangzhou-HongKong

Do we qualify for 144 Hour Free Transit by flying to Shanghai (PVG), then by rail to Guangzhou, departing Hong Kong International Airport?

How may we obtain this 144 Hour Free permit before leaving the U.S.A.?

You won't qualify for 144 hour free transit for the trip. But if your total layover time in mainland China is within 24 hours, you can use 24 hr direct transit, and no visa is needed, either.
