About:Transfer in T3 of Beijing Capital Airport

I have a flight on Air China arriving in PEK from EWR at 2:30pm Saturday.

Will then be boarding Thai Airways to Bangkok which leaves at 5:05pm. All purchased under United award miles. 1) Will I have enough time to transfer? 2) Will I need to collect and recheck my bags? Thank you very much for the help!

Don’t worry, you have enough time to transfer, and just follow the guidepost and procedures.

During this transfer, you take two different airlines. If you have the interline ticket, you don’t need collect and recheck your bag. If not, I’m afraid that you have to go to Arrival Baggage Claim to take your baggage back after getting off the air-plane, and accept the security check of the customs again.
