About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Indian, 3h55min layover at PEK T2, next flight to BKK from PEK T3

Hello, I have my flight from VVO to PEK where I land at T2, and then I need to transfer to T3 for my next flight along with my checked baggage. I am worried if I can manage to get the temporary permit card within the stipulated time and go to T3 and check in my baggage to Thai airways.
From PEK I have to BKK then to CCU, with a layover of 2h30min in BKk, but no need to checkin since it will be passed through its same airline (Thai airways).
I am really worried if I can make it on time to my 2 nd flight at PEK. I just wanna know if it's possible and some tips to make it on time.

Mayuri, you have definitely enough time to perform all the formalities and to catch your flight to Bangkok. This is for certain. In order to stay on the safe side you will do the following in the exact order:

- Fill out your Chinese arrival card online
- Upon landing at T2 you will perform fingerprinting at automatic fingerprinting machines.
- Approach 24/240 hour visa free transit where you will apply for a temporary entry permit. I strongly recommend you to have your flight tickets printed out! This is a very important detail because it will expedite the entire process noticeably. This is all free of any charge.
- When you receive a temporary entry permit in your passport you will head to the immigration.
- When your passport is stamped, you will collect your luggage.
- Go outside Gate 7 on the Arrivals Floor (1st Floor) to be picked-up by Free Airport Inter-Terminal Shuttle. Please, do not use metro or anything else. Use this option. It departs every 10 minutes (15 - 30 minutes during the late night hours) and the ride takes 10 - 15 minutes.
- You will be dropped off at Departure Floor of T3
- Perform new check-in or/and baggage drop-off
- Head to the exit immigration and to the gate for your flight to Bangkok.

Yes, you can do this by following the presented steps in the exact order. You should not feel uneasy because your layover allows you to do the entire process on time. You should not do anything else in order not to lose anything from your available time, of course. I hope this helps.
